Here's a suggestion: Make him able to have his missing eye on his outstretched hand ... errr, tentacle.

Also, when you take his eye off, it's a different color from his body for some reason. Just thought you might like to know.

I suggest a speech/thought bubble that has changeable pictures. They can be pictures of a heart, a stack of pankakes, his apple friend, and "designed by a nannerpus minion"
